Howdy cherries. Wow...almost 3pm here. What.A.Day.

So the dumb@$$ MF inspector received those certified windstorm docs he wanted and instead of just uploading it to the permit office INSISTED he re-inspect. :greenmad: :greenmad: Sorry buddy, that does NOT work for us. Contractors are already on the Island doing another job, and it will take them an hour to get here (due to traffic). PLUS...I had a dr appt this morning so wouldn't be home to open the gate for anybody. Again, our contractors scheduled it for THIS AFTERNOON. BETWEEN 1pm and 5pm. And guess what our fave inspector did....if you guessed he showed up first thing this morning UNANNOUNCED...you get sprinkles! I let the dogs bark at him while I called our contractors. She knew EXACTLY why I was calling too. She's like "That MF is there ain't he?" Yeppers! So we just let him sit out on the curb. He finally called our contractors 10 minutes later and she again clearly states that they are UNABLE to just DROP everything to meet him. He then says "No m'am..all is good. I'm just uploading the documents.". So you couldn't do that at the office? Whatever. I'm done. We're done. It finally says PASS on the stupid city portal. Adios f'ckers! Good riddance!

So moving onto my dr's appt. Nothing wrong, I'm not sick. It's just for some odd reason, their system alerted them last week that I haven't been seen in 4 years. Uh..yah...because I haven't been sick. I don't take meds (other than my Zyrtec and Flonase). They wanted me to come in for a physical anyways. Okey dokey. No biggie. Put me down for 10am. A couple of days ago, got an email saying there was a form I needed to fill out. Done. I get there and check in. They ask for insurance and id because it's...not..on..file? What...?? Fine..here..scan it and done. Finally called me in 45 mins later 😜  Nurse is asking me the same questions that I answered via online. WTH?! Well....apparently they updated their medical records portal and not everything got transferred over. They were treating me like a new patient. Really? Ugh...then the dr comes in and same thing..needs family history. 😠 Okay come on pooples! Really?! Takes my vitals...everything is good. Wants to order labs...I can do it right there. Another 30 minute wait. Get that done, check out. Finally home a little after noon. What.A.Waste.Of.Time. It's like they were punishing me for being healthy and not being on meds.

Luckily I didn't come back to a bunch of work-related emails but wow....

Geez Brandy WTH! I'm so glad it is all done and you finally got the stamp of approval. And omg if you haven't gone to a doctor in 4 years that is just what they do. It's like I haven't been sick, isn't that a GOOD thing? Nope. They start all over with you as if you were never there before. Sometimes they even remove you from the computer it's crazy.

Hey Cherries. I had a restless sleep since early this morning. Maddie wants me to make the invitations for her Sweet 16 party and gave me an idea of what she wants, so all ideas of what I could do were swirling in my head and I couldn’t sleep. But I got some great ideas to jot down and work on. Today I’m taking my mom to an eye doctor appointment. I hope it is not the usual hour and a half or longer visit. The humidity has been really horrible here and today is no better. I don’t mind the upper 80 and even 90 degree temps but without this horrible humidity please. It’s so bad I didn’t even grill last night I cooked in the house. And I usually will always cook outside over having to clean up in the kitchen. It’s too horrible to take the girls out to play, even with their pool. I hope this extremely humid spell breaks soon. It’s a sauna out there.

I worked on a layout last night and hope to finish it later on when I get home. If not then tomorrow.

Have a great day Cherries.
I hope your heatwave breaks, Barb!  It has been very humid here, but not as hot.

I am on schedule to work at the stadium tonight and we have all kinds of heat and air quality alerts. Omg. I was sweating to death trying to sleep let alone being in an orange polyester shirt and pushing wheelchairs. Keep your fingers crossed I get put on 50/50 raffle duty because I tend to get the air-conditioned club spot LOL! I'm going to try to do some copy editing and maybe get some pics/supplies together for a new layout but that's about it before I go out to work. Need to move slow while I can LOL. DD is also working today - they have a soccer jersey giveaway, then Friday a bobblehead, and Saturday a bucket hat and she's working all of them.

You are working way too hard!  I feel for you…this heat is no fun.  I hpe you got the 50/50 raffle duty!

We have the same unbearable weather as you Barb. I walked part way home from Bridge yesterday and then I jumped on a bus, but still I walked outside for about 45 minutes in the mid-afternoon and I was exhausted the rest of the day. This morning I watered my gardens really early and should probably water 2 or 3 more times today.

Zach came home from his travels last night on a red-eye and is sleeping in the room next to my scrapbook so I'm trying to scrap without music  so I don't disturb him. I find the music helps me scrap. We'll see, maybe I'll try my air pods.

So much of the country has unpleasant weather. Hopefully it will break soon.
I definitely scrap better to music.  I hope the air pods worked for you (and I hope Zach appreciates what a great Mom you are! ;) )

We have a heat advisory here also with temps reaching 101!  A record if it gets there.  I, unfortunately, have to go to a drs. appt. this afternoon.  I will be in my air conditioned car traveling to an air conditioned office and returning home to our air conditioned home.  Feeling for all of our Texas cherries with no power and suffering in the heat and humidity.  Brings back memories of unbearable summers living in Baltimore.  Off to scrap a bit before I leave.
I hope your doctor’s appt. was easy and you didn’t have to be out for long.  Definitely need the a/c for those temps!

Ugh up waay too early for this old woman. But mammo appointment at 1pm and I get anxious when I have to b somewhere by an exact time. My anxiety usually goes right to my guts. So I get up at the bloody crack of dawn and hope guts settle down enough by afternoon to get where I need to b. Hard to believe once upon a time I was a silly carefree blonde girl huh! Lol

Today is first day in 9 or 10 days not predicting temps over 100! Only 98-99 today. Woohoo dig out that sweater! Hahaha. Once mammo is done meeting friend for late lunch though so that should b fun. Other than that a quiet week. Well bday dinner out for oldest DS on Friday too but then nothing on calendar till the 22 .

Have a terrific Tuesday.

I hope your appointment went well and your anxiety settled down.  I have started feeling that when I have to drive somewhere that I am unfamiliar with.  Glad your heat is settling down!

We are also under heat advisory today...the humidity is unbearable!!  The workers should be here again today so I will be in my scrap room while they finish up.  Looking to start some July challenges.  Will also be prepping to finish scanning the last 4 photo boxes.  This last hurricane made me nervous and I need to get this done once and for all. Thinking about our Texas cherries today, I can only imagine how hot they are. Stay safe there.
Good luck scanning your photos! I have been scanning the ones my SiL left here…there are so many!

Glad you got that inspection over!  What an idiot!  As for the doctor’s appt., I will just say it was a big PITA to me when I turned 50 and my doc requires me to come in every single year, along with bloodwork. It’s part of their plan to make sure they can keep making money!  Sigh…getting older really sucks!

It went well, thanks.  Just a follow up for a previous test.  It was 100 degrees when I was out at 3.

Thanks, Laura! I did get the raffle duty so whew!!! There are pros and cons - the pros are that I usually get the a/c club location (the redheaded old lady with skin cancer? I'll take it LOL) and that you have the option to leave after the 6th inning, which I did today so I could get home "early" (9:45 LOL) because of the Harry Potter play tomorrow! The con is that you don't get a break/dinner until the 6th inning and that's kinda late. But no radio and no wheelchairs - those are also pros!

Happy Scrapping!

Kind of new to this board and just realized it lists cherries locations. I have the same weather as you. I live in New London PA. Are we close? If so today looks like another sticky hot day.

Welcome Gabriella!  It appears we are close.  We are southwest of you about 28 miles.
