smile Love this task!

Very small memory footprint. Few page faults.
Therefore, runs very efficiently!

Already 54,000 work units completed and 30 years CPU time accumulated. See the projects graph in link below.

Re: Love this task!

vaio.... your fubar (thinks it's some sort of special feature of AMD, cutting floating point calcs off at the 16th decimal or so), may have been caused by some weekend mishap and a pre-version upgrade crunch.... Should be fine now.... works great on my box.with FCG1 5.10 in BOiNC.

cheers

Re: Love this task!

We seem to be fine after some initial hick-ups..... just passed the 250 CPU year mark around breakfast time.... 456 thousand work units completed.

http://www.worldcommunitygrid.org/stat/viewProject.do?projectShortName=fcg1

Average run time per WU is increasing too, which is positive as well as it might indicate, that the targeted lower spec PC's are on-boarding the project.

have a great day

smile Re: Love this task!

I've switched to the Genome Comparison project in the past week. Had been working on the Cancer project (running UD agent, then switched to BOINC) but found that it was creating too many problems with my computer. sad

Since the move to -- primarily -- the Genome project, I find I am getting more work done via BOINC and there is absolutely no interference with any other work I want to do on my computer. smile

I'm sure the Genome project will assist work in a number of fields, including cancer. Sure hope so!

Re: Love this task!

I absolutely agree.
And btw. seeing the progress on this project is the best motivation I can get biggrin, so I too switched to genome comparison yesterday. Let's finish it and then on to new tasks (or back to cancer and faah). cool

I'm receiving a lot of fcg units recently, :-). osugrad, try running FAAH together with FCG, FAAH's not as demanding as HDC.

In addition to FCG, I'm also running HPF-2 and have also volunteered for Beta testing. So far, these three have kept "me" busy without any apparent interference with anything else I want to do.

I keep all of these project running 24/7 so really don't want anything else going on that puts a strain on other activities. So far, so good smile

osugrad,

I have found planning for Tomorrows allows Todays to evolve with your Future Plans Leading them. Taken to Prelogical XXXXStremes, the Plans go Live in the Future with a Mind of Your Own to Follow Third Party Leads to a Party everyone has Prepared and is Prepared to Enjoy. Subsequent Private Invitations depend upon Honouring the Service Provided. cool love struck
