Anyone have any idea what this all about?

This has been happening for hours now and I cannot get new work or report results. When is it likely to be fixed please?

Guys, the answer is in the Connect Frequency setting. Never have i seen downtimes of 6 hours, so set your connect to 0.25 days e.g.
----------------------------------------For those interested, the last i looked on the Server Up stats, WCG was 99.85%.... only very small projects server systems do better: http://boincprojectstatus.ath.cx/, so no need yet to also start donating Sun's with Apache software. ;>) PS, Scribe, there's only that other grid that can improve on that (HMBLM) Edit: It's not even listed! Edit.. corrected spelling, including title ;>)

When this problem has occurred in the past, it appears to be a result of the scheduling servers not coming back up properly after some regular scheduled maintenance at 09:00 UTC on Sundays. Presumably the admins just need to kick start them

Is this a general server issue or only effecting the BOINC client?

As stated, it's accepting result-data file returns, but not the task-reporting, which is a different server, from yet again a different server that sends the work.
----------------------------------------An APB was put out for the project manager to call / page the techs to kick the server. ciao PS my last successful task report was 09:08 UTC. Last time i send Result data back was 16:10 UTC.... 15 minutes ago.
