hey
i just d/l boinc and and when i try to connect to the project i keep telling me Sat Nov 18 13:19:13 2006|World Community Grid|Message from server: Invalid or missing account key. Visit this project's web site to get an account key. please help me |

i put the project url www.worldcommunitygrid.org after my login and pass and then Sat Nov 18 13:19:13 2006|World Community Grid|Message from server: Invalid or missing account key. Visit this project's web site to get an account key. i checked i have an account key |

Since about middle of the week we're getting strange reports. Did u update windows? Have u tried logging in while firewall, spam-filters, antivirus switched off?

Comes to mind, that there are 2 accounts keys: the Project ID and the X-Project ID. The X-Project ID is coupled to the e-mail address. If new, and because WCG is not a BOiNC site per se, but a hybrid, it might be that u r sitting with 2 X-project ID's. It takes a while to proliferate over. Anyway, try both and make sure if u crunch on multiple projects to use a single email address, so things roll up at BOINCstats.

Sorry folks. When I set up the beta test for the fix to Genome Comparison problem I accidently change the permissions for a file so that it couldn't be read. This happened to be a important file that was needed to take what member updated (or created) on the website and put it into the BOINC database.
I have fixed this problem and confirmed that new members are now in the BOINC database. You should be able to connect correctly now. |
