I prefer 'birthday' to 'anniversary', and the WCG is apparently two years old today -- November 16, 2006. Well, for folks in Europe, Asia, and Africa, etc., I guess it is actually Nov. 17th as I write this, but here in the U.S. (okay, ... in North America, Central America, and South America), it is still November 16th. And so for posterity sake, I'd like to note that the WCG apparently exceeded 64 thousand years of crunching by its second birthday, and as of this posting, has 234,932 members running 447,747 devices, and generated 15,846,220,236 points while returning 60,310,273 results. What a great job, and I have VERY HIGH expectations for us in the future.

Yes, it is a change in name because my prior name was far too personally identifiable for my tastes. It has nothing to do with World Community Grid, but that I simply like to limit what I broadcast to the world and I hope you understand. |
