I bow down to the inventors, never in a million years would I have thought of this!

That's a worry.
I might owe Mssrs. Amiss and Abbott some royalties. Then again, using a penlight torch or a mirror might not count... Cheers ![]() |

The use of "invisible light" is of particular fascination..... maybe some entrepreneurial type could place a similar patent for a far more useful visible light..... perhaps even nominating a range of wavelengths which can be used.

Do cats see light frequencies we dont see? A lot of animals see in the near-UV. There are a lot of camouflage markings that we don't notice. Mammals have curiously defective color vision. Not only do we not see near-UV, but most mammals only have 2 types of color cones, responding best to red and blue. We primates are privileged to have 3 types, responding to red, green and blue. We call the more usual ?dichromatism? color blindness and there is a popular misconception that cats and dogs only see in black and white because they are 'color-blind'.I must be feeling didactic today!
