Hallo, I wish find articles about how "our" grid helped - for example:
http://folding.stanford.edu/results.html I like to use computers for good all of us, but some people need a proof that what we do really help / helped. I didn't find on this site anything like folding has It is a pitty because I think that BOINC GRID (WCG) is much better. I also hope that more people will realize that their computer can help too and join us Regards Michalx! |

michalsx,
So far we have only completed one project - that being the Human Proteome Folding Project (Phase 1). The researcher for that project is currently in the process of writing about the results, but scientific papers take a long time to get published when they must be checked over and over for accuracy. We will post any results that become available as soon as they have been published. |

Nesloc, Could we post that paper on the HPF1 results page in the interim while they are still writing the final results? Jeff [Edit 1 times, last edit by Former Member at Nov 1, 2006 2:46:31 PM] |

Thanks for that reminder. We'll check with Dr. Bonneau to see if it's ok to post the prelim paper. So keep an eye on this page: http://www.worldcommunitygrid.org/projects_showcase/archives/viewHpfResults.do
World Community Grid is a place where many researchers can run their research for free. As such, we work for the researchers and they sort of tell us what to do and when to do it. Over at F@H, they run both the technical side and the research so they are in control of all the informaton. |

I read the preliminary paper and it is quite interesting. Like with much of basic research it appears this is one of many building blocks for further understanding of the bacterial world. I don't understand all the science, but it is a good update. (Hope they fix the typos in the final version.)
