I went source-diving, and eventually I found the answer I sought here: http://setiathome.berkeley.edu/cgi-bin/cvsweb...content-type=text%2Fplain
It was that moment when my head hit the pillow that the full implications sunk in. |

Dave,
----------------------------------------As per the service u performed, we went thru the 'resistance point' of 50,000 days in a 24 hours with ease, doing 50,188......the 11th time in WCG history.....meravigliosoOn a swing, following Wallstreet on its heels, it looks like another critical barrier will be scaled..... > 900 years in a week....that's only happened 6 times before. DATE_____ yyy ddd hh mm ss 09/29/2006 901 196 14 58 37 05/19/2006 913 160 01 01 23 05/12/2006 905 212 16 42 30 04/14/2006 907 219 00 20 25 04/07/2006 915 305 12 53 20 03/31/2006 910 312 10 38 46 On extrapolation, we're going to be very close to the May number adding in a typical Friday crunch....904/906 is in the cards.....let's keep cranking.....make it so ![]()

LOL
----------------------------------------Cracking Sek It should ramp up all the way through to the Christmas Hols a bit of a dip while everyone runs around seeing their families and then it's back on the gas pedal. Those cold and dark days of January (in the UK certainly) have a positive effect on the crunching as you can huddle around the flow of the warm air generated by your cruncher. Not quite the romance of a roaring log fire but hey it's the 21st Century 11 times the other side of 50K days a day ![]() ![]() |

From the serious overboard department, need some advise:
----------------------------------------This is a preliminary, dynamically functioning graph in Excel (picks values up from WCG), designed with some additional projects in mind, active buttons to pass one to either research info or detail project stats from pop up menu (no java)...... It's getting way too busy and worse, putting in some dummies. Question is, is there a way to incorporate hyperlinks into the actual pie labels? Than i move the pictures back into the data labels can get rid of the arrows. PS, it does work, not a pretty picture from a MSFT presentation. Got a bunch more ideas with it, but not shooting the bear until sold :D ![]() @ Dave, Is there any (stat) data on the Smallpox? 4 years are still missing between global total and the project details of the Pi'd 5. thx

Hi Sek I think the 4 years are pre launch crunches by the WCG Crew
----------------------------------------The Smallpox work was a project over a Grid.org that IBM Sponsored (Kit Funds etc) so not strictly speaking on the WCG Here's the stats though http://www.grid.org/stats/projects/smallpox.htm if you would like to take a peek Over there though it looks like the UD/Grid.org work has just ground to a halt! I won't pass comment on the Pie Chart as I know how difficult this is to do especially extracting the stats to feed it. Just to let you know your contribution is much appreciated over here - The Pie works for me, it tells it just like it is Thanks Sek Dave ![]() |
