Hi, all. I am just beginning the start of what I call the "2plus2is4" lobbying campaign to educate our candidates and legislators about grid computing in order to have them, in turn, pass laws to educate our kids about it. In conjunction with that, I am dedicating my www.2plus2is4.com domain name for this project. Yes, I know that my page currently promotes our "HomeBrewers" team, but I think that most of the page primarily promotes the WCG and grid-computing in general, and only secondarily promotes our team; however, I am in the process of doing some major redesign to break the site into several pages which will, incidentally, separate my team info from the rest. And once the HomeBrewers achieves the goal of Top-100, I might drop all team stuff except a link (I think I'm entitled to at least that much). Anyway, take a look at this part of my page which discusses my 2plus2is4 plan. Feedback will be appreciated.

To think that two and two are four
And neither five nor three The heart of man has long been sore And long 'tis like to be. It's a commendable goal, and I wish you luck. Perhaps once you've got it off the ground we can talk about lobbying the educational system of other countries. Look forward to seeing your redesign. |

G'Day All.
Has there been a successful approach, in writing, to businesses or organizations thus far? I'd like to put forward an age old method for improving sales performance and lets face it, sales is what we are talking about here. Can we have a site or forum location where, successful and unsuccessful written correspondence is posted? Include the replies, if any, that are received and analyze from them just what works, what doesn't and why. From this should grow a basic letter, contact form which could be edited, to reflect a personalized approach to the prospective company, individual or organization. In short a template could be created for use by everybody. It could even be committed to memory and delivered verbally if so desired. Ala Napoleon Hill. Thoughts? Cheers. ozylynx. ![]() |

Is it possible to have a bb code version of the logo to use. Most forums I visit don't allow html! Cheers |

I know it's a Sin but I do so love to
"Myself!" From oneguy Yes The "EMAIL AMFAR NOW" campaign. (After they don't respond) The whole WCG idea needs a better "Intake" site. Maybe with snappy interactive java and heartfelt flash Movies. There is so much more info to disseminate now than before that I am sure that a reassessment of product delivery info, can truly effect the new user curve. "We are not Just beginning; We have been somewhere, and we are going somewhere; But we still need more Steam TEAM!" -OneGuy Seems to me you are Moving along the same Lines in this thread as any Established Organization might to Expand Product Awareness. Ideas flowing to Advertisement and Acquirement. The Product is FREE But complex to the average "User". There are some REAL RESULTS from the Crunched Data so far that you might glean to help on your Selling Points. Like the Huge list of "Orgs" participating in CPU donation and some of the (Newer) specific recipients of the data who's research has been enhanced by "The World Community". WunGye |

Has anyone thought about obtaining official endorsements from various organizations that focus on specific diseases, such as the American Cancer Association ... or whatever it is called ... etc. Then we could approach cancer groups and validate our work by referring to the endorsement. That should be reassuring to a lot of folks who view this with suspicion. Heck, it ought to be possible to have those organizations provide links to the WCG, and even mention us in their literature.
Cheers. Bill Velek |

Quite a few are WCG partners. Others have ignored us most totally.
Those that are partners do have a link somewhere, but it often gets buried. Still, name-dropping is a good way of showing reputability. The advisory board is a good starting point - the UN, WHO, Mayo Clinic, etc. Then for partners, there's: American Cancer Society Lance Armstrong Foundation Macmillan Cancer Support UNICEF Ireland ... and many more. |
