How about a way to see how close the community is to completely each project. I also like the idea of breaking down the work units to smaller ones because it can take upto 60 hours to get one finished on my computer which makes it feel insignificant.
Thanks |

Thanks Your computer has a self esteem problem? The next batch of workunits will be smaller and will on average take less time. As has been explained on many threads before, the workunits are non-deterministic and we have no idea how long they'll take. No matter how "small" we make them, there will always be workunits that take a long time. It's just the nature of the work. Remember, the whole reason this application was put on the grid was because the problem is computationaly HARD. Keep in mind the goal of the project is to get these calculations done. You also get the same amount of points if you finished 1 workunit in 2 days as if you finished 10. As long as the progress bar is increasing, you're doing fine.
