Technical problem

Hello,

I want to change maximum storage ammount from 1GB (default) to 5GB. I`ve changed the ammount plenty of times on the website "device profile", but it doesn`t affect the program.

Re: Technical problem

Well, it won't. WCG don't need to use that much space.

However, the display on the info screen in the program will update the next time the agent talks to the WCG servers (usually when it has finished a work unit).

Hello Patraj Anton,
I`ve changed the ammount plenty of times

You should only change the size once. Then press 'Save'. After that, the profile should always be 5 GB. What is the name of your profile?

Re: Technical problem

Wait for your work unit to finish.

Make sure that you used your BOINC profile for BOINC, or your UD profile for UD.

Correction: clown I am simply wrong! Ignore this post. silly

Thought so! You cannot change the preset values in 'Default'. You have to change the values in a named profile, then assign the named profile to your device. 'Default' will always keep the default values, even though the edit routine seems to allow you to change them. The edit routine ought to pop up an error message if a user attempts to change 'Default', but it does not. Instead it fools the user by seeming to change the values. In reality, it never changes 'Default'.

Problem identified! biggrin

Re: Technical problem

Lawrence, can u reconfirm that..... i've always used Default on my UD agent and from the beginning set it to 10gb which stuck in the profile and carried to show in the UD Agent. Stead, could it be that Patraj Anton might have a scripting issue in his browser...... we've had our fare share depending on the browser.
