Opera Browser Support

member Hon_za mentioned lacking Opera support. Grant it, if firing up WCG on Opera >= 9 or FireFox 2.0 (Bon Echo), it does not quite look the same as IE, but so far always been able to get to a work around at WCG to still get what i want. As a fan of the Mozilla browser, latest addition the 'Create Your Own Style for this URL', WCG is never going to be looking the same....combined with the Switching agent to make WCG think its dealing with a IE browser i have few problems but for some of the scripting that forces visitors to activate snooper links like stats trackers to get e.g. past the Download button.

There is already a Forum Wishlist thread, and maybe someone would like to kick off a BOINCanised website feature list thread.

Back on topic,

Opera is claimant to being the only one 'compliant' to the ACID 2 test amongst the most common used browsers, but as with myriad of CPU's to support, should WCG be meeting every browsers particulars?

Please post your issues u have with Opera as your main web-browser on WCG.

Similar to what happened/happens in Firefox, some pages are complete off the side like the download page.

Who's next.....

Re: Opera Browser Support

The acid test is rigged, don't pay too much attention to that. Still, WCG are aiming for W3C compliance and accessibility compliance. They have fixed a few things, but rewriting the website is fairly low on the priority list.

As Sek says, if anything doesn't work in any browser, please tell us! In detail!
