How big are the files downloaded

I'm in australia, and we get a certain amount of download every month.

Can someone please let me know how big are the files that we download on average, and how much data pushing there is between us the the servers.

Thanks!

Re: How big are the files downloaded

Hello cowcrombie,
I have forgotten these figures. smile I seem to recall that I once figured out that a month of FAAH using the UD client (compressed downloads and uploads) would use no more than 300 MB. The other projects use more. In general, I do remember that it takes very little web surfing to equal the transmission load caused by the WCG. Our BOINC projects use less compression, so stick to UD if you worry about download size.

Re: How big are the files downloaded

seems to me it depends on your computer's working speed, since you will only download when your present work unit is finished.

example: if FAAH units are 1/2 MB and your machine finishes 2 a day, that would only be 30 MB a month. if the FAAH units are 1 MB that would be 60 MB a month.
