Has anyone considered organizing a MySpace effort to get the word out about WCG? There are millions of idealist young people with computers that use that social networking site and it would take much to make thousands of them curious enough to put WCG on their machines.
Think about all the college age and high school age kids, not to mention the 20-somethings such as myself. Just an idea, but this seems like an excellent source of potential when it comes to recruiting. |

Actually, someone's already started doing that.

I put a link on Myspace several months ago using one of the logo's and a brief introduction. I am going heading up to nearly 6,000 views of free advertisment for the WCG.
I do not know how effective it has or has not been. Nevertheless, who can argue with over 100 million members? Seems like a great opportunity to make the mission of distributed computing known. I couldn't see why a coordinated effort couldn't recruit 3 to 5 million members off myspace with a year! |

Myspace reaching 112 million members. Great recruiting pool to choose from!
