Hi
I've just started crunching again after a period in which I wasn't able to do any crunching at all. I've sent in a few results but find that I'm losing on points in a big way on the Claimed/Granted system per work-unit. For example, my last three units have been marked up as: 81 / 66 82 / 62 79 / 60 That's quite a lot missing. At my end the only thing that is different that I can think of that might have a bearing on this is that I changed my CPU to a faster processor and units look like they are completing around two hours quicker than they were before. In any case, does this problem have a cure? Thanks. |

----------------------------------------Since you say "last 3 units" and have upgraded the CPU, u might have to run the BOINC benchmark again (in menu drop down left of help)....it only runs every 5 days. Would expect for BOINC to detect a different CPU (version 5.5.x have the ability), and run the Benchmark @ the first time u switch BOINC on......check your logs.......should be near the top of it. ciao

Thanks for the replies.
I did run the benchmark as soon as I got BIONC running after the CPU was changed. After that I connected to the grid in the hope that the inf would be transmitted. However, I have version 5.4.11 installed. I have looked at the BIONC website and don't see a later version there. Is 5.5.x a beta? |

What you are seeing regarding claimed/granted credits is not the result of a bug. It is standard behavior and you will not change it by installing the latest version of BOINC. The article linked in my previous post explains why. |

5.5.x is alpha. Sekerob is talking about a feature that has not been released yet.
