Autologon Issue - Use Firefox instead - It works a treat

If like me you find the fact that the login page does not remember your login or password mildly irritating using Internet Explorer which usually remembers every other sites password for you, I've found a solution

It's simple use Firefox instead.

Download it for free from here http://www.mozilla.org/products/firefox/
Enjoy

Regards
Dave

Re: Autologon Issue - Use Firefox instead - It works a treat

Dave --

I may give that a try. It would prevent me from tripping over another oddity of the forums. I have noticed that one can logon with or without caps in the userid (dave bell instead of Dave Bell, for example). That isn't too strange for a person who has spent their entire life in a mainframe environment and it would seem that that is convenient. It gets strange, however, when you dive into the forums as we have been known to do. Although the forums seem to know that "dave bell" is online whenever "Dave Bell" is, seperate counts for the numbers of postings are kept ("dave bell" has 13 and is rated stranger -- "Dave Bell" will have 27 when I complete this and is rated newbie). Further, the nice signature highlighting our team that I worked on last night is only associated with my posts as "Dave Bell".

Well spotted Dave another security blunder I think we need to raise to the Tech's at WCG when they are around wink

Sorry I couldn't resist the winking smilie.

You know how I feel, close to crying all I can do now is praying

Absolutely!
(Not to mention that Firefox is about three times faster than IE...)

Re: Autologon Issue - Use Firefox instead - It works a treat

Hi Kallisto

Our web site stats show an amazing support for Firefox (btw my hits from my Firefox usage are not included in these stats) Have look at this pie chart from our website stats http://my.statcounter.com/project/standard/br...1bbf63acc89983e4b165b37e8
This would have been unheard of even 3 months ago.

I tried using the <blink> tag on our website today as the Team broke through the 100,000 point barrier. I know its not cool to use the <blink> tag but just for one day what harm could it have done? Works in Firefox not in IE6.0

If you want to see a web page how it was designed use Firefox.

Happy Crunching and Automatically login in to the Forums Kallisto

Regards

Dave
