Read another announcement last week, that IBM is commercializing the concept of grid computing, first off in the insurance branch for complex adjuster models.....keeping our ears to the ground shhh

Heh. Reading between the lines, it's just a supercomputer installation (Gene/L) spread out among loads of universities to spread the cost. That must be one of the advantages of a modular supercomputer architecture.
