----------------------------------------If Borni could let me know the number of Hits and the Bandwidth consumed we could at least see if it was possible. Are Borni's stats supported by a BIG PayPal Donate button? If not they should be as I would imagine they put some serious load on a server wherever it may be. Dave  |

Yes, his stats might put a bigger load on than I thought. I was thinking he does only WCG stats but now I think he does WCG plus 1 other project too. Maybe grid.borg too?
Paypal  If 500 crunchers put in $1 per month that would pay for a little extra bandwidth for the stats. |

Actually, he mentioned at one point at the DC Zone that he would rather not take donations, and that he uses a free hosting provider. Several said there they would be willing to help out as well, so if he ever decides to move to paid hosting, I'm sure he'd get plenty of support: http://forum.thedczone.com/index.php/topic,581.0.html
I do wonder what sort of load it puts on the server, as it looks like the images are regenerated each time they're accessed. And they must get accessed quite a bit - my stat site is just getting off the ground, and getting near 13.5k hits for images alone. His has been around much longer and is spread much wider. |
