I work with FAAH and I heard at 33.33% its a chekpoint. But when it comes to 33.33% it hopes back to 31.8%. I have let it work in 3 hours now and its stuck between 33.33% and 31.8% And if the agent had worked normaly I have calculated that it should take more then 10 hours to execute this task. Is it normal? The overall performance is on 87/100. Pleas answer fast.

Hello vigge.swe.
This is normal. There are several threads about this, let me find you one - http://www.worldcommunitygrid.org/forums/wcg/viewthread?thread=7903 Here is one that is closely related: http://www.worldcommunitygrid.org/forums/wcg/viewthread?thread=7913 See also http://www.worldcommunitygrid.org/forums/wcg/viewthread?thread=8200 What is happening is that your program has reached the time at which it expected to checkpoint, but the attempts (whatever they are) are failing. So it will continue to make attempts until it succeeds. It always does succeed, but having to make more attempts than average means it has to start readjusting the progress bar. Keep on crunching! 10 hours is perfectly normal. Some work units take days. There are big ones and small ones, so it's best not to micro-manage the agent or you'll go crazy with every little detail that doesn't go quite how you expected.

I'm afraid not. If the scheduler knew which were going to be large ahead of time, then the large ones could be assigned to faster computers. But the only way to find out how long a work unit will take is to crunch it.

You cannot....WCG sends at random work of chosen projects, which have a deadline each of 7 days.
----------------------------------------I prefer the small one's myself, but even if small, just one situation where the work unit has to repeat the calculation to get to the answer, slowly honing in, it could take many hours. I've one at the moment that took 2 hours to get to the first 33.3% point.....8 hours on getting past the 33.3 barrier, then 2 hours to get to 66.6.....same again, now scheduled to finish about 07:00am on July 30....so 10 hours is really peanuts in comparison. Like some other software....it slows down when you watch it too much! cheers
