  after all this time I finally joined up :) btw anyone got some suggestions for free firewall and virus programs for XP64 now that my computers gonna be on 24/7? oh well gotta goto work hope to see y'all on the main site once it lets me log in  |

Welcome!
I use Avast for my AV protection and a hardware firewall (with the Windows firewall keeping me safe from other computers on my small subnet). AVG is good, too. |

I will check out avast. AVG rocks
 but does not have a freeware version for XP64 as for hardware firewalls all my resouces right now are directed towards getting my emt (and later para) so I do not have the spare cashflow for a hardware version and I trust MS about as far as I can throw thier corp HQ. In fact if I had time I would have already converted to unix/linux by now. I even got the ubuntu cds but can not get the program to mount my hard drives even running from the CD. Which btw I saw no forums on the team site. Any place I can ask for linux help from the team other then here? I fig with all the penguinheads running around here some body can save me :) |
