If hyperthreading is on, but the client only recognizes one processing unit, does that mean it is processing at 50% of max, i.e. does a 3 GHz turn into a 1.5 GHz for this task with HT enabled?
I haven't been able to figure this one out. Thanks |

If you do not have hyperthreading enabled Task Manager reports the 'true' CPU utilization. If it is enabled, Task Manager reports 50% utilization if only 1 thread is running. But actual throughput should be about the same. See this thread on the subject: http://www.worldcommunitygrid.org/forums/wcg/viewthread?thread=484
