No new work

Hello everybody.

Just wanted to reattach to this project, but when I try to receive new work the following error message appears:
03.07.2006 19:25:06|World Community Grid|Message from server: No work sent
03.07.2006 19:25:06|World Community Grid|Message from server: (There was work but not for the applications you have allowed. Please check your settings on the website.)

I've checked this, and all projects are enabled. I already tried to search here in the forum, but it seems that nobody else had this problem before (a little bit strange *g*). Then I've reinstalled BOINC, it didn't work.

Can anyone help me? Thanks in advance.

Re: No new work

Can you tell us the computer specs?

The project minimum requirements have changed with the launch of HPF2, and the computer may not qualify. You may get this message if you only qualify for HPF1, and there is no work left for that project.

Re: No new work

Hi,

here are the specs:
1.7@1.9 Ghz Intel Pentium M processor
1 GB DDR2-RAM
20 GB of my HDD are free

I don't think that this computer is too "weak" to crunch such an WU, maybe it is because of the BOINC-Client version 5.4.9?

Re: No new work

burningjoe, how do you try to get new work......hit the update button on BOINCs project page tab?.....does your BOINC log say your general prefs were copied?......are you doing the changes in the default profile, but is your BOINC device connected to some other profile....read it should not matter for BOINC, but nevertheless.

burningjoe,

It turns out that we have a bug that appeared when you deleted your 'home' profile at another BOINC project. This change was then updated here. However, this deleted profile prevented your settings for the projects you want work for from taking effect for any devices still associated with the profile that was deleted. We will fix this bug. In the meantime, I have fixed your profile. However, I accidently did it in a way that will cause BOINC to think that your general preferences were updated here. I didn't change anything in your general preferences, but if you see the message on your computers that is why.

thanks for letting us know.
