I am runing 3 projects using BOINC, SETI, CPDN and WCG.
It seems that WCG will not get new work because the dates when the resut is due is much sooner than any of my other due dates. If I suspend CPDN and SETI it will get new work. But then it will only run the new work until it is all done then it switches back to alternating between CPDN and SETI. Then I have to force it to get some more WCG work units. WTF?? Oh yeah my PC at home runs all 3 projects just fine. Home pc is AMD Dual core, work PC os Intel P4 HT. |

BOINC is just doing its thing.
Sometimes it is impractical (or impossible) for BOINC to work on all projects at once. So, BOINC will concentrate on one project to make the deadline, then ignore it for a while to compensate. |

There are lots of different deadlines in BOINC, depending on the project. It is easier when you pick projects with about the same one week deadline to match the projects here, so that they will be processed in downloaded order.
----------------------------------------If you get a copy of the 4th workunit, it has a one day deadline, but that is an exception. You have 19 months to finish a workunit in one of the climate simulation projects.

Jmsample,
BOINC is probably running just fine on your work computer too. I wouldn't waste time switching to projects that have approximately the same deadline. That won't fix your problem because the only problem seems to be that you think BOINC should ALWAYS have a WCG work unit in its work cache. That's not true. Just let BOINC run and resist the temptation to force it to download. When it needs a new WCG work unit you can rest assured it will get one. |

Can you post the messages from your BOINC manager? This will give us the info to explain what happened. thanks, Kevin |
