That means BOINC has changed and does not accept the certificate WCG have, if you use a BETA BOINC expect to get errors

Forgot to say the guys at BOINC are looking into it, so for now either don't use a ALPHA (That's what I meant to say earlier) BOINC client and go back to a recommended version or just wait for a new version with a work around built into it

svenni96,
Dr. Anderson at BOINC informed me yesterday that the SSL problem should be resolved in the 5.5.6 client (the CA cert bundle wasn't included in the build). However, as UBT - Halifax--lad pointed out the 5.5.X client is a alpha client so you should expect errors. Please feel free to report errors you notice here so that we are aware of any you see that affect us. However, you should primarily report them to the BOINC dev and alpha mailing lists. We have asked for a couple of things to be included in the next version of the client. Some of these are things like compression built into the BOINC client itself. Others are the new BOINC simple GUI that we are contributing (the beginnings of it were added to the BOINC CVS last night). Kevin |
