Has anyone seen any problems since the last batch of Windows patches came out? I have been crashing and freezing while the Agent is up ever since Autoupdate ran. It only does this while the agent is running and must be left for an extended period of time.
I am running WinXP SP2, fully patched & updated. I've run both spyware & virus checks, both neg. Thanks! rclamarre Team UserFriendly.org |

Hello rclamarre,
Apparently this has not happened to anyone else. I do not have an answer, but you might try running the System File Checker program I mentioned in this post: http://www.worldcommunitygrid.org/forums/wcg/viewthread?thread=7001#56706 If that does not work, then you might try uninstalling UD, then reinstall either UD or BOINC, being careful to sign in as a previous member. That will give you a new device ID but should fix your problem. Lawrence |

K.I.S.S. This is a long shot but
#1. if you're only set to Humane P. FOLDING in your 'Device' settings, then you might have a outstanding msg for 'Agent Paused' error since we all helped complete numer0-uno F@H ATT. &/or #2. Windows changed a advanced setting to Stop this [UD.exe] and other PROGRAMS from running . plenty of FAQ's on these 2 subjects... I'm not sure what M$ did, but reinstalling it seems to have fixed it. It's crunching away on the Aids project again. Thanks!
