Hello Goosey,
The storage being reported is the amount of storage authorized by your profile. In your case this is 50 MB, which is just enough to run HPF1. The default is to allow 1 GB, which is much more than any current project actually uses. I suggest that you change your profile by clicking on 'My Grid' - 'Device Manager' and then clicking on the selected profile. This brings up the profile information. At the top is 'Device Profile Name' and then the next line is 'Hard drive space to allocate?'. Use the drop-down menu to increase the authorization (it is NOT allocated - it is only used if needed) to 1 GB or more for safety and (slightly) higher points. Then click on 'SAVE'. Unless you save it, no change will be applied. Your new profile will download to your client with the next work unit. Check after that happens to make sure that it worked correctly. Lawrence |

Lawrence weirder prob: same problem in reverse... wdgrid: I saved it A billion times, but my computer won't upgrade to 6GB, while I have my 1st hhd with 320Gigs... Note: It's my second computer with WD-grid link (do I have to make A new device profile?? my old comp. works with different device name) I hope someone has the right answer for me... I see you are using a custom device profile. Make sure that you have selected this particular profile for this device. Go to Device Manager, then click on the device name. Check that the currently selected profile is the right one.
Once you have done this, you will have to wait until the next time your client talks to the server. This is generally when the current work unit is finished. |

Hi Rouke Jacobs,
After you Save your new named profile (snelle pc) you have to go back to Device Manager and click on your device name. This takes you to a hidden web page in the Gigantic Maze called Device Configuration. This has a drop-down menu titled 'Current Assigned Device Profile?' which shows the name of your current device profile. Clicking on the down arrow will show a menu with all your named profiles (plus Default, which cannot be changed). Select 'snelle pc' to assign your 6GB profile to your device. It will download to your client with the next work unit. Once you have mastered the Gigantic Maze you will be ready for the Underground Kingdom of Zork! Lawrence |

Basicly the same problem here, I have changed the HDD size to 10GB, saved and everything, but it still shows up as 0.98GB in the program.
I also tried setting up a custom one in the same way, but it doesn't make any difference. I have also tried restarting the whole thing and running without firewall, which does nothing. In the program, under the preferences tab, my profile is reported as "Default" and max storage is set to 1000MB no matter what I do. Everything else except the retrieving settings part works perfectly fine though. |

Assuming you have waited until the agent has contacted the server, then the only other possibility is that you have registered the agent with a different username.

The member information in the program says: Excavator
I don't know how often the program contacts the server, but it's been running for 6h sofar without updating. But shouldn't it contact the server upon startup? I guess I will have to see what happens tomorrow. Thanks for the help. |
