hey, i found this in my team (belgium)
this member gave 155 results in a total of 2'35"????? i would like to have such a computer like Katanji if this is true, lol!!!! It often means something went wrong with the client. Possibly the work units are failing, and being sent back as errors. You can send back a lot more results if you don't crunch them :-(
This is where I insert a warning about the dangers of overclocking. |

And there some think, that results returned only reflect Validated and Invalid results, not Pending Validation and the alias for that (Inconclusive) or Error? My personal stats show absolute relation of RR and Points awarded, so is this a UD agent specific event?

Hello Sekerob,
The server acknowledges results returned from UD clients immediately on receipt. The validation process is invisible to our members, though it still takes place. So errors returned by the clients are not awarded points, but do count as returned. Invalid results are awarded points immediately, which are not taken away when the result is invalidated. The different method used by BOINC alerts members to problems with their computers, such as errors caused by excessive overclocking. Lawrence |
