how large is the unit My computer works on

Hi I was just wondering how big the units are that my computer works on. I ask because my computer finished it's first unit in 6 hours. And the second unit is only 50% complete and has been running for 16 hours.

Is there a reason for this, or do the units or processing time vary on the size of protein given?

Thanks

cool Re: how large is the unit My computer works on

Hi Chris,
The time required to run a Work Unit is variable. Alther calls it a 'non-deterministic' problem. If you will look over the Global Statistics I seem to recall the average result takes about 20 hours of CPU time. My old computer is averaging 15 hours, but I am not using it for much else.
