my points are dropping rapidly  i'm having connection problems. Every morning when I get up, my internet connection is offline. It doesn't seem to come back to life until early afternoon.Adelphia suck  Hi SpikeyI was getting the same problem for a while What I do now is suspend the WU that it is working on before I go to bed and within 30 seconds it will download another Suspend that one and restart the one it was working on and then restart the second one, so it says preempted instead of suspended I do this to ensure that if my connection goes down during the night, I still have an extra WU in the queue to work on Yeah I think that's my next step; just grab a load of units. I bet by the time I get home it's all up and running again. It's really bugging me. Hi, I've had similar problems in the past as well and established grabbing more units by simply changing the BOINC setting 'connect every x.x days' and set this to 2.0 By doing this you'll continuously have some 'spare' units. Cheers, Gerard Coingames - does this mean that your stats go up and down like a yoyo or do you still get fairly smooth lines of responses... or do you force a connection when you see you have finished WUs? |

I might do this as my main cruncher has an iffy network connection on the motherboard (alternatively I could put the spare gigabit lan card back I have back in). Decisions, decisions.  |
