Help Me - SOS Voilà, sur ce compte BOINC, il y a 6 unités d'installées depuis plusieurs semaines. Maintenant, je me retrouve avec 8 unités. DONT 3 Identiques qui correspondent au même PC. Ce PC sous BOINC avait à la date du 21-04-2006 : Avait pour l'HOTE : 36 jours - 4120 Pts BOINC et moyenne de 150 Après un redemarrage du PC, 2 unités identiques ce sont créées. Le graphique des points de l'HOTE à chuté à ZERO, Idem pour la moyenne. Depuis les résultats sont incrementés sur une des 2 nouvelles unités portant le même nom. Donc je suis reparti à ZERO ma moyenne aujourd'hui est de 16 Points. C'est pas cool. quand je consulte le nombre d'unité présente sur ce compte |

By design, BOINC creates a new device when it is reinstalled. This is to prevent problems caused by duplicate devices, if you copy BOINC to several computers.
There is talk of a feature that will allow you to merge devices when this happens, but it isn't available yet. The averages are not very helpful anyway. Use the total score as an accurate reflection of your performance, or use a site like BOINCstats to work out a moving average for you. See graphs of your aggregate score on the My Grid page. |

I did not make of new installation on this PC. I doubt extremely that my average of point is not incidance on my next results.
France : je n'ai pas fait de nouvelle installation sur ce PC. Je doute fort que ma moyenne de point n'est pas d'incidance sur mes prochains resultats. |

However it happened, BOINC created a new device. Your old results are still showing in the statistics view. Don't worry about it. The BOINC statistics view isn't very helpful.
If you care about such things, there are a number of ways BOINC can get confused and create a new device: if the client_state.xml file gets corrupted, if the file is copied to another computer, if server communications get disrupted and the sequence number gets out of step. Currently, there is nothing you can do about it. Sorry. |
