p.s. Just in case anyone has missed my warped sense of humour on the boards over the last 17th Months and thinks that I am really a Work Unit Slave Driver please note liberal sprinkling of biggrin's above.

Have fun just crunching, or, Just have fun crunching

either way

All the very best

ha, now that it is valid perhaps the owners of the last 3 "in progress" should dump them as already valid and move onto more work (?) or is this a silly idea?

Cheers HC smile , retep57 I back your quest, have a look in suggestions/feedback. Not sure if the other WU's could be kicked up in the air automatically but it's worth raising with the development crew at IBM.

Have a peaceful Sunday

Re: Could the 3 current owners of HPF Work Unit eo181_32 keep that PC Crunching biggrin

thanx for comment dave, sounds like it might not be an exercise in futility, i guess if i happen to be in front of puter and notice it i might be able to dump unnecessary valid work unit/s would be more efficinet to have it done at server level, get the boinc agent to say hi to server to check evert little while, at present means i woudl sacfrifice some poionts, but then if those points are "pointless" then fine by me, lets get meaningful work done rah rah rah, of course dont want newbies to mass dump units by mistake that are not yet validated etc.. i suggest that it be taken out of the users control and give them points as credit for their kindness for starting the w/u but then dump the remainder and get on with new work, give people bonus points for encouragement and accelerate the progress, win/win situation... until then i will dump w/u if i notice that they have already been validated, nice to be able to see this courtesy of boinc.. cheers

Makes a lot of sense, but the manual checking to see which ones are already completed sounds like a lot of hard work especially if you have a number of boxes.

I wish you all the best with your crunching, it will take some dedication to do as you are suggesting.

Lets get it on the roadmap for BOINC
