More of a SETI news item...
It will be sad if they don't make it; SETI was the father of all grid projects, and the nice folk at Berkeley created BOINC for us. Still, if it goes pearshaped, I will be first in line encouraging ex-SETI crunchers to more humanitarian efforts - say, for example (oh, I don't know) maybe at World Community Grid... |

 3/4 Million $'s is a lot of cash just think what you could achieve with it It will be sad if they don't make it; SETI was the father of all grid projects, and the nice folk at Berkeley created BOINC for us. You're right there though |
