Setting Resource shares

hi

I have been using BOINC for a while, and have just joined WCG.

Is it possible to set the BOINC resource share to anything other than 100, so that I can control how much of the box's time is devoted to WCG projects?

Thanks

Re: Setting Resource shares

Hello River,
Yes, it is a 2-step process. The Resource Share of 100 is part of the Default profile. First go to 'My Grid' - 'Device Manager' - 'Device Profile' and modify one of the named profiles (such as Home) to have a different resource share, then Save the changed profile. Secondly, go to 'My Grid; - 'Device Manager' and assign the new profile to your computer. Then wait for BOINC to download the new profile. (Or force an update using Boinc Manager)

Or, you can just modify the default profile.

Re: Setting Resource shares

Thanks both of you. Ive found it with your help

I was expecting it to be separate from the BOINC cross-project settings ( because that is the way it is done on the BOINC websites), and had alread looked past it... duh
