This is explained in the Known Issues forum. Some Work units do not converge to a solution. When the program decides that this is the case, it is supposed to terminate and return this information to the server together with CPU time, points earned, etc. A bug in the program has turned up and a fix is being tested. As of Wednesday, they expect to update the program Friday.
