At the moment, the UD Agent uses up the remaining amount of CPU cycles of the system (ie, pushing the CPU usage to 100%). The problem is that I use a laptop now (I used to use a computer, but recently got a laptop) and I would like to use the UD Agent.
Is there any way to limit the Agent so that it uses a certain amount of CPU maximum? Such as 80% maximum. I know laptops these days allow me to slow the processor down, but this effects all programs, which is not good for me. I do need occasional blips of speed every few minutes, but don't want the Agent using 100% of the processor 100% of the time (to allow cooling between "spikes"). Any help? |

Cheers. This is exactly what I am after. I know it'll probably run slower than the threshold I set (ie, the speed will be 70% instead of 80% I set), but at least that's better than nothing at all, which is what it is right now.
