Matt -- I am getting better. My foot is still swollen quite a bit, though. Thought you might like to see a critter I came across a few years back in the Great Smokey Mountains in the far western part of North Carolina. It is a rather small black bear that you see about 25 feet off the side of the road. I would guess it was probably either a young adult or a cub from the size of it. Needless to say, I did not hand feed it -- LOL. I have camped there several times and had bear come through my campsite looking for food. You always want to lock up your food where they cannot get at it -- never in your tent! They will pretty much keep to themselves unless you try to feed them or if you get between a female and her cubs. Whoa! That’s one big teddy bear, Dave. What a great photo! I understand that if it is a cub, Mom can be just around the corner and ready to cause serious grief? Is it true that you can't out climb or outrun one? Something about just lying in a ball if it gets aggressive? Furry but not cute! Glad to hear that your leg continues to improve. |

Startled, the Texan exclaimed "What the heck was that???" Seems the Texan had never seen or heard of one before. The Aussie calmly replied, "You mean you don't have grasshoppers back in Texas?" ![]() LOL - very good! |

... The Kentucky hillbilly said, "yeah, I had a truck like that once. I got rid of it, though." He hee - they are getting better! Cheers retsof. Next come the blonde jokes... Its amazing how each country has a group of people they like to poke fun at. In Australia it is often city v country folk. People from Queensland and Tasmania get it too. So do New Zealanders and Poms (the English). Here in England it can be... well just about anyone except yourself or your favourite soccer team, really! |

Well, there seems to be at least one target that manages to cross geographic and cultural boundries - the boss at work - a lot of folks all over think theirs' is a joke.

Congrats and Well Done Sir! Well, it took me 58 week to break 220,000 personal points running the UD agent. Another month to earn 40,000 more running BOINC before joining MOT. 50,000 MOT points in 39 days - that means I should hit 1000,000 about 21 April, 500,000 about 27 Feb 07 and 1,000,000 about 24 Mar 08 - for MOT that is and assuming things remain constant -which I'm sure they won't Of course, I'll hit those milestones about 260,000 point earlier personally (about 5-6 months?) but does well I think to show what one person with one machine can do. You can make a difference!Oh, and another small milestone today - average points per hour of runtime just hit 30. That was just below 25 when I switched to BOINC back on 12/29/05. ---------------------------------------- [Edit 1 times, last edit by keithhenry at Mar 14, 2006 9:08:16 PM] |
