Hi-I've searched and can't really find any reason for getting the message "Reached Daily Quota of 2 results".
It may have occurred since i had my processor overclocked according to what i read during my search so i backed it down ans was sondering if there is anything else i need to do or will it begin increasing on its own ? 2/27/2006 11:20:59 AM||Starting BOINC client version 5.2.13 for windows_intelx86 2/27/2006 11:20:59 AM||libcurl/7.14.0 OpenSSL/0.9.8 zlib/1.2.3 2/27/2006 11:20:59 AM||Data directory: C:\Program Files (x86)\BOINC 2/27/2006 11:20:59 AM||Processor: 2 AuthenticAMD Dual Core AMD Opteron(tm) Processor 165 2/27/2006 11:20:59 AM||Memory: 2.00 GB physical, 5.87 GB virtual 2/27/2006 11:20:59 AM||Disk: 98.07 GB total, 80.13 GB free 2/27/2006 11:20:59 AM|World Community Grid|Computer ID: 21591; location: ; project prefs: default 2/27/2006 11:20:59 AM||General prefs: from World Community Grid (last modified 1969-12-31 19:00:01) 2/27/2006 11:20:59 AM||General prefs: using your defaults 2/27/2006 11:21:00 AM||Remote control not allowed; using loopback address 2/27/2006 11:21:00 AM|World Community Grid|Resuming computation for result faah0223_diversity0695_x1hwr_02_2 using faah version 509 2/27/2006 11:49:56 AM||request_reschedule_cpus: project op 2/27/2006 11:50:01 AM|World Community Grid|Sending scheduler request to https://secure.worldcommunitygrid.org/boinc/wcg_cgi/fcgi 2/27/2006 11:50:01 AM|World Community Grid|Reason: Requested by user 2/27/2006 11:50:01 AM|World Community Grid|Requesting 17280 seconds of new work 2/27/2006 11:50:06 AM|World Community Grid|Scheduler request to https://secure.worldcommunitygrid.org/boinc/wcg_cgi/fcgi succeeded 2/27/2006 11:50:06 AM|World Community Grid|Message from server: No work sent 2/27/2006 11:50:06 AM|World Community Grid|Message from server: (reached daily quota of 2 results) Any input would be appreciated. Tom,
It looks that since your machine was overclocked you have not returned a valid result back. If you have just switched your system back to normal speed it will take time for the BOINC system to allow you to download more workunits per day. So you will just have to be patient on that system. If you backed this system off a few days ago, you might want to run some system tests to make sure that your memory and processor are still working properly. Hope this helps. -U |

Thanks,i'll give it a few days and see what happens. It just started to allow me to run work unit at a time so hopefully it will increase after that.
Thanks again ![]() Tom |

jtommyj,
I am just expanding on what uplinger wrote above: BOINC has a defense mechanism which limits the number of workunits that can be handed out to computers that are producing errors or invalid results. Your operteron computer has only returned errors and invalid results. As a result that computer has been limited to only getting one new workunit per day until it starts producing valid results. You can check if the results are valid or not on this page: https://secure.worldcommunitygrid.org/ms/viewBoincResults.do thanks, Kevin |
