How do I delete a team, if no is in it anymore? Should anyone be allowed to do so?

Also, is there a way to rename a team? Or should I just create a new one and have everybody switch over? Will we lose the points we've gained so far? (not a huge deal since we're only a couple days in... but still *grin*)

It is not possible to delete or change the name of an existing team. If you wish a different team name, then what you described is correct. You would need to create a new team and have your current members join that team.
Teams only get credit for points earned while a member is actually part of the team. That means that if all your members switch from the old team to the new team, your new team will only earn the points that your members earn after they join the new team. |

Well, somewhere in the system there must be a way for the admins to remove or rename an 'inappropriately named' team (or individual).
I can understand not wanting to make this functionality available to the public. However, I wonder if they have any way of making old teams disappear. For example, my first team 'west-linux' should have no members left as of today. Will that team show up forever in the rankings? It only made sense within the context of the closed beta (and only barely then). |
