Re: Pecking order

I have been stuck at between 715 and 728 forever. So I understand your frustration when you ffinally hit the stats wall.

The only way to solve the problem is to add more computers. The biggest bang for your buck is an AMD64 duall core 3800+ running WCG Boinc and running ony WCG with a 10000 rpm hard disk and fast memory around a gig.

Maybe an early
christmas present for a good cause!

Ciao....

Naww... what ya need is a system with 900 MHz Slot-2 Xeon procs...... well.. a system with 8 of them. That and 12 GB of RAM will be good for between 4,500 and 7,000 points a day... well... with BOINC that is. dancing Running UD it's more like 400-800 a day.

I knew there was a reason I didn't scrap that old system. And to think that my coworkers consider me a packrat.
