Re: Aborted Work Units - We hear you!!

dataman,

Surely, and very well understood, I was also trying to get their attention. I was over on the grid.org boards today, there are still so many unanswered questions with the WCG compared with grid.org. They have a huge membership and many more projects. It makes you wonder as IBM is the one who is funding WCG, just seems a little odd to me.

Re: Aborted Work Units - We hear you!!

Jeff

Oh, IBM is funding it. For the publicity on their clustered Enterprise Severs (we use to call it a mainframe) and the Shark DASD storage that stores the data. Not to mention AIX and Linux. Found it ironic that even though the host runs Linux ... the client does not. But heck ... we are all in it for something.

Thanks! <dataman>

Re: Aborted Work Units - We hear you!!

thanks for finding and dealing with the problem. It was frustrating, as the only feedback we got was that the program was behaving normally.

the forums can be useful, next time something like this come up, if you promise to let us know promptly that you are looking into it, then we'll promise to keep the number of duplicate complaining threads down to just a few wink
