Hi kwiatek

You can pick which project you want to crunch (or even both) if you go to https://secure.worldcommunitygrid.org/ms/viewMyProjects.do after you have logged in.

Regards

Slug

Re: BOINC for Windows - FAAH or HPF

I was using WCG Agent before, and it was using a lot of memory (300 MB), so I decided to try BOINC software. My profile is set to FAAH only.

I've checked that BOINC uses about 200 MB of Ram, so now I'm sure that it computes FAAH.

Thanks for fast reply.

kwiatek,

You can also look at the Work tab of your BOINC manager under the application column. rosetta is the app that runs Human Proteome Folding, and autodock is the one for FightAIDS@Home.

Re: BOINC for Windows - FAAH or HPF

hmmm... it is a bit strange. In my BOINC device profile there is no option to set FAAH as the only project I comtribue. (In my WCG Agent profile FAAH was only one active project)

But aplication that is running (in BOINC) is rosetta , how can I set to autodock ???

Re: BOINC for Windows - FAAH or HPF

If you click the My Projects link on the left of your WCG My Grid page, you can then make a choice for ALL of your devices.

It would probably be handy to be able to assign different projects to different device profiles for some older PCs confused

Yes smile Both FAAH and HPF are available for BOINC on both Windows and LINUX. (Yea).

One restriction above noted by The Lazy Slug is that if you are running BOINC, you can choose which or both projects (by using "my projects") only on a user basis...that is you cannot pick for each device. Actually that is something that I would like to have but do not know if or when it will ever be offered.

Regards to all and thanks for contributing. smile

I do not think the BOINC server actually respects this setting. I believe it just sends out either on a random basis. I have no real proof though since I am set up to do both anyway.
