Re: 64-bit

I haveone x64 working on WCG and Boinc it does 2 units at a time pretty good--the P4-3.0 2for Boinc and 1 for WCG HT EDIT--Yes as RT said you need more memory--the P4 has 2 gigs x64 1 gig

Re: 64-bit

Information in addition to that above:

In BOINC you can set the number of CPUs that you can use. With the UD agent, any machine will run only one Work Unit at a time regardless of how many CPUs it has.

In BOINC, a P4 HT machine will run 2 units simultaneously if your profile is set correctly. This will let you get a bit more that 100% of your CPU (since HT is active).

Also in BOINC if you have a dual core machine (AMD or Intel) and set the profile correctly you can run 2 WUs at about the same elapsed time as one.

Cautionary note: If you intend to run more than one WU at a time, you will need more main memory. I personally would not run more than one work unit at a time with less that 512Meg of Memory in situations where the machine is used for other things (i.e. it is not a "stand-alone" WCG cruncher), although others do.

Hope this helps.
Regards
