Once again today I seen a reply in the Linux support forum advising the use of "Windows Tools" to diagnose a PC running Linux.
Now I know we all make mistakes, and I'm somewhat an authority in making mistakes, but please ... So my question is ... How many Windows or Linux PCs do you run? Me ... I have; 2 Linux 1 Windows ![]() |

As me
1 - Win XP Pro (UD) 1 - Linux (Boinc) At work 2 - Win XP Pro (UD -Screensave Only) 1 - Win 2003 Server SBE (UD - Service) - Dual Xeon so only using half capacity. 1 - Win 2003 Appliance Server (UD - Service) When I get the chance to work out how to run Boinc as a service on linux SME (e-smith) server I will add that to the work list and next time I do an SAP business one update on the workstations that will be another 20 Win XP Pro, probably in screensaver only mode and throttled back to between 50 and 75% just so that users don't get worried about the processor fan funning flat out. ![]() |
