if it's a question of how many people will use it then i'd like to show my support for this as well, i much prefer to get all my news via RSS, also unless people see a "news via RSS" then they may not know about RSS

I too would love to get an RSS feed of WCG news and updates. It's the easiest way to control all your news and information.
I was also thinking it would be fun to have simple RSS feeds of each users current stats. Users with websites could show this information on their site as a way of showing they care and also encouraging other people to join WCG. In my experience, it's not really that difficult to implement RSS feeds. Just about all of the free content management systems offer them at no extra cost. Is there anything the users can do to help this along? |

We will be providing a RSS feed for news. We are just deciding the content we will put in it and when we will launch it.

Glad to see the RSS feed is coming soon
The content should be anything to do with the WCG, so new upcoming projects, how things are going, server outages, etc etc Just take a stroll over to some other BOINC projects just to see the kind of news they include in there feeds |

in addition to what Halifax-Lad said, any news that appears on the front page should be included, and any kind of announcement, such as "we've now got 300,000 devices" such things, also if there is planned downtime
if downtime is unplanned an announcement as soon as possible always helps in lots of ways |
