Re: IraqiLinux Team

Mahdi, you might start off by putting your country into your forum profile. Fear there are not too many, that crunch from the land f.k.a Mesopotamia.

Stay save.

Re: IraqiLinux Team

Mahdi, not sure if there is a a "Team Iraq" or "The Iraqi Team" here (have not checked), but I would suggest looking into that.

The "IraqiLinux Team" may be too confining for right now. That would be true for even "ColoradoLinux Team". Perhaps a re-naming of the Team?

I am living in the Netherlands myself. We have members within (Iraqi Linux) our community that are in Iraq right now. But as we all know the situation is just horrible and very insecure and the people are trying to survive from day to day without any clear perspective for a better future. Let’s all hope that peace and prosperity is coming soon :)

Thank you for the encouraging words. I will soon write an article for our community about the WCG, so other diaspora Iraqi’s can join the team. I am myself a very old cruncher and have been active since the beginning of SETI@home project.

Will if you read our website you will understand why Iraqi Linux team. Its advocacy for the objectives that we (I am the co-founder) have and in that context I would like to keep the name, but I fully understand your observation, for me its more like a win-win situation :)
