I changed teams ... I had just signed up with one for fun at first before getting several people to decide to form a team together. Now though, the points generated with the first team seem to be "staying" with that team and I have both teams listed. What's up with that? Is this a permanent thing or is it just a lag in WCG really processing the team change? Will the statistics be removed from the original team and credited toward the team I really want to be part of?

Yes, that's the way it works.
It would be pretty gutting if someone could leave a team and leave them bereft of points, would it not? Points stay with teams. The only exception is if you have not joined a team, then create your own. In that case, your unallocated points go to your new team. Read the FAQ ;-) |

True, It might be gut wrenching but that's also life ... and we change our minds about things. It would be nice to drag the points with one. Not that I have a lot of points to drag yet ... having just converted from the old Fightaidsathome program to the Grid. I lost all those old points too but that's neither here nor there!

Read the FAQ ;-) Didactylos, I'm not exactly sure where the WCG FAQ is ... the only FAQ I've found is the forum that states it holds the FAQs for the various teams but even there it just looks like more questions about general stuff. Maybe you can point a lost soul in the right direction. |

Hi dyodis,
Here is the relevant section from http://www.worldcommunitygrid.org/help/viewTopic.do?shortName=teams : How do I quit a team? Go to the home page and sign in. From the My Grid page, select My Team from the left navigation menu, The system will return the team information for the team that you are a member of. Press "quit this team" and you will no longer be a member of that team. The statistics that you have contributed to this team will stay with that team. You always keep all the personal points that you have earned. But teams also get team points from members who are on the team when they earn them. Those points will always stay with the team. So neither personal points nor team points can ever be transfered. mycrofth |
