Thread: Computation error upon hibernation |

When my computer/laptop slips into hibernation, the WU will develop a computation error every time. Will this be fixed at a later date? or is there a place for me to put the units in memory like on BOINC?

Can you tell us what errors you are seeing? Perhaps post a sample of your log showing the problem?

2006-01-18 06:42:06 [World Community Grid] Unrecoverable error for result el232_1B_2 ( - exit code -1073741819 (0xc0000005)) basically my laptop crunches all night long and then i grab it to go to class. it goes to hibernate mode along the way. when i bring it back out of hibernate, the model crashed with the above error code. its the first line on the logger. i went to the wiki and i know its one of those general errors but my other projects do not crash after hibernation. this morning, i just started the model (2 minutes in) and it didnt crash after coming out of hibernation. the two previous models had over 50 minutes crunched when they crashed. |

Thanks. Could you describe your system to us? Manufacturer, model, CPU, memory, VM size, OS? Looking at the 'Useful Utilities' thread at http://www.worldcommunitygrid.org/forums/wcg/viewthread?thread=2490 I think that this is a useful program: 1) Belarc Advisor at http://www.belarc.com/free_download.html This is a small download that creates a web page listing basic information about your system. You can use cut-and-paste into Wordpad to create a brief report on your system. mycrofth |

An additional 5 or so lines before and after this message so we can see what BOINC was doing at the time. If you happen to have it, could you also post the last part of the stderr.txt file? It should contain a stack dump when the memory violation occurred. Thanks.

my stderr.txt is blank but my stderrdae has this:
