Sort by name in Device Manager / Device Statistics

It'd be nice to see alternate ways to sort data in the member device manager section--especially by name.

An export function to plain text would also be helpful.

Not sure if this has been previously discussed, a brief search did not turn up anything.

Thanks,
Marist College
(more specifically, David Brangaitis)

It should not be hard to import the device list into a spreadsheet table. If you can find somebody who uses a spreadsheet program a lot, I think that they could set you up in a few minutes.

Yes, but it is difficult to automate.

Bump. I'd still like to see a plain text list, CSV, something from which I can easily automate pulling data.

Re: Sort by name in Device Manager / Device Statistics

Marist College et al,

Maybe a quirk around you may already have figured, but if in device manager hitting the device statistics option in left margin at My Grid, then select all+all in the drop down boxes up top, u should get a complete list with total scores per device. Select the whole range, copy (ctrl+C). Switch to spreadsheet, put cursor in desired area and right click. Select Paste Special and take the unicode option. This produces a text list split by column with Firefox to Excel. With IE, select same 'paste special' and choose the html. Again a list is pasted properly split by column.

Paste special can also be brought up with the edit menu in excel.

Read some discussion on the reshaping of forum and other WCG web features, but its on low burner.....keeping the present project on-line and bringing new once in development has higher priority.

ciao
