I'm running the agent all the time. I've noticed that since it started (about 3 days ago) no system generated checkpoints have been created by the System Restore facility of WinXP.
Is that to be expected? Larry |

I tried putting the agent to sleep for 5 minutes, then 15 minutes and then one hour. No checkpoints were generated until I tried the one hour sleep. The checkpoint happened about 30 minutes into the sleep.
So, I'm pretty convinced that the activity of the agent holds off the system restore checkpoints. I suppose that could be a serious side effect. Checkpoints still happen at special times such as installations (or at least some installations). Cheers, Larry |
