What you documented matches my experience except that I did not delete UD off my machine. I simply stopped it from running. If for any reason I need to, I can easily switch back. I did notice that my computer had no apparent problems running UD and BOINC at the same time although that may not be officially supported. From a practical viewpoint, there's no real reason to do that that I could find. When both were running, they equally split the available CPU time (as both have the same priority). I may well go back at some point in the future and delete UD altogether (I've been running BOINC only for a couple of weeks).

Is there any consequent problem with this "dead WU" ? ... I too just stoped and moved to Bionc for Windows.Regards Excelent instructions by the way ... even for me. ![]() |
